what is unseen

Long chat with a dear friend who has lost her husband, cousin and uncle all in the last three months. She gave me a bible verse which summarises her response to suffering. no explanation needed. Be encouraged and refrehsed, as i was, by her heart in hard times.

2 Corinthians 4: 16-18

Therefore do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieveing for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is tomporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
